Welcome to Southpaw Labs! New Fairfield Connecticut is where
the dogs and I call home. I have four female breeding dogs, not a subtle group and fur is pretty much a part of all my outfits....I
wouldnt have it any other way!
I got my first yellow lab, Juliet, in 1997. From there I fell in love with the breed and decided
to raise puppies. I run a small hobby kennel and focus my breeding on not only looks and type, but temperment, soundness and
health. All of my females are OFA registered for hips and elbows and CERF certified yearly. My dogs are very much a part of
my everyday life, they live in the house , sleep on my bed, and often accompany me to work. Labs love nothing
more than being with their people, well ok, maybe food first! Any visitor will be lead with quadruple enthusiasum to
the cookie jar in hopes of a treat.
Every litter of puppies is whelped and raised in my living room. As they get older
they ride back and forth to work with me at the vet hospital. There they not only get socialized with people and other animals but they get used to all sorts of noises and distractions. A
few of my pups have also been used in advertising.
